When you think of a song you really like and what it would sound like if it were remixed, Laidback Luke has most likely done it.  Luke van Scheppingen was born in the Philippines and is 34 years old.  He has worked with everybody from Swedish House Mafia to Tiesto, and he will be performing at the one and only EDC!  Laidback Luke has another 3 countries and 7 more shows until he makes his debut at the insomniac event.   He will be playing Saturday at Kinetic Field and is expected to rip it up. Year by year Luke has gone up in the DJ ranking charts and is just taking over the business.

Some of the remixes and songs Laidback Luke has done are so famous and used by so many DJs you would not know that he was the man behind the turntables.  These include “Show Me Love” with Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello, “Heartbreaker” which is by MSTRKRFT and John Legend and his own single “Break the House Down”.

Laidback has played at some of the hottest shows in the world and his list just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  Some of these events are ULTRA 2010, Super You & Me which is Laidback Luke’s event, and soon to have the giant EDC under his belt.

I am looking forward to see this performance for a few main reasons.  Most importantly, he is one of the best live mixers around.  The second and most important reason, you can’t go wrong with him.  He is an amazing live performer and his set is going to be like nothing else that night.  In case some of you don’t get to go to EDC, we will be doing live coverage of him and many others only on EBB and you can’t miss it but until then, check out this song!
