Another week, another five days heavy with jams. In a little while, artists will actually be releasing albums en masse again! A few albums and mixtapes have been released but the majority has yet to come. Ultra Music Festival: Phase II Lineup

Ultra Music festival is a staple music event for EDM lovers across the globe, and this year’s event is projected to be the craziest installation yet. This years line up boasts acts such as Tiesto, Skrillex, Avicii, Justice, Avicii, David Guetta, Kaskade, and Armin Van Buuren. Yesterday, the management at Ultra decided to make their lineup ever crazier by adding a second phase. Among the notable selections are Wolfgang Gartner, Benny Benassi, DJ Shadow, Erick Morillo, ATB, Martin Solveig, Madeon, Nervo, and a DJ set by Pendulum. Also included in this addition are Joachim Garraud, Digitalism (DJ set), Plump DJs, Treasure Fingers, Azari & III (DJ Set), Annie Mac, Dubfire, Felix Cartal, Loco Dice, Proxxy & Lantern, Sinden, Paper Diamond, Maya Jane Coles, Nadastrom, Gossip, Gui Boratto, Switch, and Tensnake.

From dubstep lovers who crave the filthiest womps, to old-school trance fans who obsess over booming house anthems, Ultra’s superstar lineup has something for everyone. And for all those who don’t have a ticket, start searching stub hub because you only have 35 days left til the concert!

New Upcoming Local DJ: Garrett Lodge

Garrett Lodge is an 18-year-old electronic music producer from Los Angeles, California. He produces mostly Electro and Dubstep -really anything with a dirty bass synth. He combines catchy melodies and nasty bass into each of his songs. With only two released tracks, this up and coming producer/Dj has already gained recognition from several management companies (whose names must remain unnamed at the moment). Porter Robinson is Garrett’s all-time favorite producer. He is currently working on an five song EP which features a track in collaboration with DJ Bander which should drop sometime in late June. Today, Afrojack finally released his successor to “Take Over Control”. His newest single, “Can’t Stop Me” is bound for substantial mainstream success and will for sure be one of the most massive tracks in the EDM scene for 2012. Don’t rest on this track because it has all the recognizable elements of Afrojack’s formula mashing mainstream pop with electro-house!
