The re-edit of I’m So Rocker’s track “Underwater” is a melodic dubstep tune accompanied by the catchy vocals of Juliana Tucker. With just over 5,000 Facebook fans, I’m So Rocker is a relatively new producer/DJ who focuses on writing hard hitting electronic music. This edit of “Underwater” is to be the single on his new [...]

From Baauer & Just Blaze’s trap banger “Higher” to Carnage’s spearheading remix of “Spacemen” to Grandtheft’s remixes “Tuna Melt” and “Sweet Nothing’ with Diplo to Dillon Francis’ remix of “So Young So High” and to RL Grime’s massive trap remix of [...]
Daft Punk & Columbia Records
Big news for Daft Punk! NME reports that French electronic music duo Daft Punk has left Virgin / EMI to sign with Sony’s Columbia Records, and that the group will release a new studio album this spring. Daft Punk’s last album, the soundtrack for Tron: Legacy, was released in 2010 — the new album slated [...]
Tomorrowland 2013: The Global Journey
Belgian festival Tomorrowland has firmly cemented itself in the eyes of the world as being by far one of the leading live music events on the planet, with 2012 becoming its biggest year yet and picking up numerous awards in the process, including Best Major Festival at the European Festival Awards. With all eyes firmly [...]
For a while now, Belgium’s colossal Tomorrowland has been viewed as the top dog of EDM music festivals. With glittering line-ups, first-class production, an immense crowd and all-round epic-ness, it’s built an army of followers around the world. Even its ‘after-movies’ are renowned, with 2012’s wrap-up notching up a casual 42 million YouTube views so far. In 2012, all the tickets disappeared in the blink of an eye – and you can bet 2013 will go the same way. For everyone who can’t be there in the humble Belgian town of Boom, here’s an unexpected piece of news: Tomorrowland is looking to go global.
As reported by Dancing Astronaut in the U.S., co-founders of ID&T Michiel and Manu Beers spoke to Belgian financial newspaper De Tijd about the festival’s future. “It’s our ambition to organize a Tomorrowland on every continent,” they told the paper. “We have received requests for versions of Tomorrowland from all over the world. From rich Russians and Indians to promoters in Australia, the U.S. and South America. We will do it, but on our conditions, and only in places where we feel comfortable.” The brothers also added why they have turned down huge offers to sell the business: “Why should we sell? It’s our passion.”
For those looking to go to Tomorrowland this summer, here is some interesting news. On a Belgian radio station, organizer Debby Wilmsen revealed that ticket information will be revealed on Wednesday 16th January 2013 and the line up will be revealed on Friday 18th January 2013.
As Coachella puts their final touches on the 2013 lineup, we at E.B.B can not be more excited for what they have in store for us this year. From house music to dubstep to trap, here are our predictions for who will be playing the famous Sahara Tent.
Alesso
Groomed by Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso was without a doubt one of 2012′s hottest new names. Now, with countless hit releases and remixes under his belt, the young Swede has all of the necessary weapons to crush his return at Coachella 2013
Arty
Arty burst onto the scene with hits “Around the World” and “Kate,” as well as killer collabs with Mat Zo and Matisse & Sadko. His 2013 Coachella performance will be a must.
Deniz Koyu
A blazing new talent, Deniz Koyu shocked the scene last year with numbers like “Tung!” and a collabo with Wynter Gordon on “Follow You.”
Hardwell
The 23-year-old DJ/producer has been tickling the decks since the age of 13, and 2012 proved to be his breakout year. He’s one of the hottest talents in the game, and certainly worth tagging as a must see at Coachella.
Knife Party
Under their dubstep-inspired production moniker Knife Party, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen of Pendulum hit big on the Swedish House Mafia collabo “Antidote.” Along with their current hits “Internet Friends”, “Centipede”, and “Bonfire,” there is much in store from the Aussie Duo for their hopeful Coachella performance.
Nicky Romero
With David Guetta and Fedde Le Grand in his corner, Nicky Romero had a DJ set staple early in ’11 with his remix of Green Velvet’s “Flash.” Romero also has hit home runs with solo singles “Wild One Two” “Like Home” and “I Could Be The One.” Fans can expect many bangers to be dropped.
R3hab
A member of the Afrojack camp, Dutch newbie R3hab chain-sawed killer re-works for Rihanna and Katy Perry. He also put his special touch on Sander van Doorn’s “Koko.” And R3hab’s monster pairings with Swanky Tunes and Max C on “Sending My Love,” and with Afrojack on “Prutataaa,” support our conviction that he’s going to play Coachella this year.
Tommy Trash
Ok so maybe he’s not a rookie in the purest sense, but after years of cranking out grimey, loopey, textured tunes, Tommy Trash broke though and rattled everyone’s eardrums in ’12 with original heaters “Future Folk” “The End” and “Reload.” His 2013 Coachella performance would be a must.
Major Lazer
“The duo is releasing a new album, Free the Universe, on February 19. Also, their recently announced tour has the Coachella dates conspicuously absent, with a stop in Vegas on April 9.” The band has some West Coast dates in March but none are in SoCal. They’re also doing the international Lollapalooza festivals in Chile and Brazil. Major Lazer last played Coachella in 2010
Diplo
After slamming Coachella earlier this year, hopefully Diplo will come and “save the day.” Expect the unexpected at a Diplo show and for all Trap Fans, this is a MUST.
Flosstradamus Although Flosstradamus have already opened the Coachella main stage in 2007 we think 2013 is the year for these hood boys to show us how Chi-Town gets down and runs with the trap. Up until 2011, Flosstradamus had a decent amount of remixes on their résumé. With a remix of Major Lazer’s “Original Don” in 2012 and singles like “Roll Up” which other trap artists like Baauer have remixed, their performance would not disappoint.
Bingo Players The Dutch duo known for their hit single “Rattle” have already confirmed their appearance via their booking agency’s website (the listing has since been pulled)
RL Grime
With the sudden popularity of hip-hop spliced with EDM, RL Grime would be the perfect mixture of smoking patrons and rachet chicks ready to shake it on the Sahara floor.
Deadmau5
Deadmau5 has done amazing things in the Sahara Tent, but 2013 will be the year that Joel Zimmerman graduates to the main stage to create a spectacle as the final act on one of the nights. With how massive the crowd was for Swedish House Mafia in 2012, I think Deadmau5 will be even bigger.
And Finally… Daft Punk
Daft Punk aka The Gods of Dance Music have been rumored for years to make a return to Coachella and 2013 is the year that our dreams come true. The release leak of their headling by Songkick and their rumored 2013 album only point to a return to the main stage of Coachella.

The Wiseguys are a duo from Malibu, California whose underground beats range somewhere between electro-house and complextro funk. 19 year old Andrew Kruger and 18 year old Brando Valli have been periodically posting new songs on their Soundcloud and Facebook, and each production is as unique as it is entertaining. Their most recent release, “Something Epic”, is reminiscent of a Madeon style with a unique, catchy melody and glitchy vocals. The intro synths confidently build up to a fist-pumping drop that is sure to leave you wanting more. The Wiseguys continue to wow us with each production. Be sure to like their Facebook page and check out their Soundcloud to keep up to date with all their releases and announcements. Here is a preview of their latest track “Something Epic” and don’t forget to download it.
Gathering the support from the likes of A-Trak, Diplo, Skrillex, Dillon Francis, and Flux Pavillion, trap music is an exploding movement in EDM. Trap features heavy bass, dance beats, and electronic elements that blend together to appeal to the fans of the electronic and hip-hop genre.
Trap titans such as RL Grime, Bauer and Flosstradamus, are playing sold out rooms across the country and the young Luminox is an upcoming producer that will help make this genre break out.
